Kingston Sailing Charters
Kingston Sailing Charters offers bareboat sailing from Collins Bay Marina in Kingston. The charterer operates the vessel independently, and the company requires evidence of relevant boating experience. Its fleet and equipment information support planning a freshwater sailing holiday, with Lake Ontario and the Thousand Islands described as regional cruising options. Confirm eligibility, the chosen boat and permitted itinerary before booking.
The experience
Kingston Sailing Charters provides an option for sailors who want to skipper their own charter boat from an established Kingston marina. The company identifies Collins Bay Marina as its base and describes bareboat chartering as independent operation of an equipped vessel. Applicants need to demonstrate suitable prior experience; the operator lists previous charters, ownership of a similar boat or recognised credentials as examples to discuss. Acceptance should be resolved before building a holiday around particular dates.
The published equipment list covers navigation items, galley equipment and boat-specific features, with some extras listed separately. Compare that information with the actual yacht offered and ask for an updated inventory during booking. Discuss the intended cruising area, handover, return arrangements and any restrictions with the company. Review deposits, optional items and cancellation terms in the current agreement, and leave flexibility for weather rather than assuming a particular destination can be reached on schedule.
